Photographs made during an informal two-week winter journey through the Icelandic highlands with a group of local drivers. Beginning and ending in Reykjavík, the route was travelled in specially modified vehicles, with no fixed schedule and frequent detours along the way. The photographs were made whenever an opportunity appeared, recording snow-covered roads, isolated shelters and the changing conditions of the landscape. The series offers a quiet observation of winter travel with people familiar with the terrain.
